Coco Peat
'Coir fiber pith' or 'coir dust' or Coco Peat produced as a bi-product when coconut husks are processed for the extraction of the long fibers. Coco Peat is the binding material that comes from the fiber extraction of the coconut husk. A very Special Grade of Coco Peat is washed, screened and graded before being processed into various Coco Peat products for Horticultural and Agricultural applications. Coco Peat is a multi-purpose soil conditioner and growing medium.
It is a completely homogeneous material composed of millions of capillary micro-sponges that absorb and hold up to eight times its own weight in water. The natural pH of 5.7 to 6.5, plus an unusually high Caption Exchange Capacity - and Easy Available Water assures that coir will hold and release nutrients in solution over extended periods without additional watering.

Benefits of Coco peat
Coco peat is a 100% natural growing medium. This can be used in many applications such as farms, green houses, horticulture and landscaping, seed germination and as a substitute for potting soil, bark compost. This can also be used in golf course setting for soil conditioner and in mushroom industry as a casing medium
Coco peat is used as a soil additive. Due to low levels of nutrients in its composition, coco peat is usually not the sole component in the medium used to grow plants. When plants are grown exclusively in coco peat, it is important to add nutrients according to the specific plants' needs
The coir pith is cleaned and sieved before it is compressed. For easy transportation and usage it is compressed into a 25 Kg PP bag or 650 grams briquette or a 5 kg block.
